London's Best Crab Linguine

The perfect mix of comforting and fresh, a well-seasoned plate of al dente pasta with delicate crab is a classic. London may be brimming with great Italian restaurants, but the three below have proven their worth with bowls of properly tasty crab linguine.

Tucked away near the Theatre Royal, Orso's show stopping Italian fare is reason enough to head to this lively part of town. The Linguine Al Granchio is prepared using the freshest ingredients. Rich, thick pasta remains wonderfully flavoursome up against the other potent ingredients such as sweet, Devonshire crab. Distributed in large chunks throughout the dish, the harmony of red chilli, garlic, parsley and lime with the crab and pasta lift the dish beautifully. Amplify the whole experience by sipping on a glass of NV Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry. Cr-absolutely delicious.

Firm strands of freshly made linguine come generously coated in a delicate, spicy crab sauce. The crab is flavoursome and rich, and is enhanced by the tang of the chilli and lemon, which cleverly cuts through rich meat and pasta keeping the dish fresh and light. A simple Italian classic done properly. We'd expect nothing less from this London stalwart.

Bocca di Lupo

Bocca di Lupo's menu may change seasonally, but the crab linguine comes back time and time again. The pasta is served with delicate spider crab, which comes casually piled on a plate. Sweet chopped tomatoes and hunks of crab meat are scattered through the strands of linguine, and the authentic flavours and spot on seasoning make this edit one of the closest yet.
